EOSi Announces 20th Anniversary Celebration

EOSi celebrates two decades as the leading supplemental carbon provider helping the water treatment industry reduce nutrient pollution since 2003.

(POCASSET, MA, July 10, 2023) — Environmental Operating Solutions, Inc. (EOSi), the industry leader providing MicroC® Premium Carbon Sources and technical services for biological contaminant removal applications in wastewater treatment systems, is celebrating EOSi’s 20th birthday — two decades of helping the water treatment industry reduce harmful nutrients and contaminants, preserve and enhance sustainability of vital water resources, and combat the harmful effects of climate change.

“We invite the entire water-treatment industry to celebrate our 20-year anniversary with us, and together usher in a new era of global water sustainability and reduced nutrient pollution,” said EOSi president Samuel Ledwell.

“Our core purpose when I joined EOSi twenty years ago remains unchanged today: Empowering Clean Water® — empowering water and wastewater treatment plant operators with the vital products, service programs, and reliable on-time deliveries essential for them to remain in full regulatory compliance while protecting precious water resources and the public they serve,” Ledwell said.

Founded July 9, 2003 to address local problems with nutrient pollution from fertilizer runoff and septic systems on Cape Cod, EOSi engineered innovative biological nutrient removal systems deploying EOSi’s agriculturally-derived “green” MicroC® supplemental carbon sources products to provide a safer, non-hazardous, and environmentally sustainable alternative to methanol and other carbon sources.

“Today, EOSi is the leading provider of supplemental carbon sources in the United States, and MicroC® removes more nitrogen at wastewater treatment plants than any other carbon source in the United States,” said Jeffrey Prellberg, EOSi’s VP Sales & Marketing.

“Since 2003, EOSi has delivered more than 122 million gallons of MicroC® products, responsible for removing more than 183 million pounds of harmful biological nutrients and contaminants from our waterways and environment,” said Prellberg. “Nutrient pollution impacting receiving waters is a global problem — and today we invite the entire industry to join us on our 20th anniversary to implement global solutions.”
