Thomas J. Walkosak CEO
Tom joined EOSi in 2018 and has over 22 years of experience in leadership and management of environmental services and water treatment chemical businesses. Prior to joining EOSi, he was General Manager of USP Technologies, a Trojan / Danaher company that provides environmental technology, equipment and chemical service programs for municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment applications. Mr. Walkosak was also a VP and member of the Trojan Technologies Executive Team. Prior career experience included a series of progressively responsible positions in manufacturing, marketing and business management at FMC Corporation, a leading global producer of hydrogen peroxide and other specialty and industrial chemicals. Mr. Walkosak earned a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and also completed “The Executive Program” at the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.
Samuel Ledwell President
Sam joined EOSi at the company’s inception in September 2003. He has over 14 years of experience in biological contaminant removal with a specific focus on developing the MicroC® portfolio of carbon sources. He previously worked in the Department of Physical Oceanography at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and in the Neurology Department at Massachusetts General Hospital. He holds a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Oregon State University and an MBA from Suffolk University.
Rob Keeling Vice President, Operations
Rob brings over 15 years of experience in supplier development, supply chain management, procurement, and operations. In his role, he manages our supplier development, raw material procurement, risk management, rail car fleet, inbound rail and truck logistics, and new manufacturing site development for our nationwide network of production facilities. He is also instrumental in identifying new materials for use within EOSi products. Rob was previously with the largest biodiesel producer in the United States, where his responsibilities included supplier development, raw material procurement, risk management, biodiesel co-product marketing. Mr. Keeling holds a B.A. in Business Management from Simpson College, and is pursuing his CPSM certification.
Sandra L. Clark Director, Quality Management Systems
Sandy is an ASQ Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence and an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer. She brings to EOSi over 25 years of Quality Management experience. Sandy is responsible for expanding and developing new quality processes working alongside management to support the manufacturing of EOSi’s products, procurement of raw materials, meeting and exceeding customer expectations and creating value through the company’s quality management system. She has held Quality Management roles in various manufacturing environments including underwater robotic systems, underwater side scan sonar and acoustic systems, printed circuit boards, injection molding and machine shop fabrication. She has implemented and maintained ISO9001 compliant Quality Management Systems and has lead several lean quality enterprise initiatives. Sandy holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Montana State University.
Eric Stoermer Senior Consultant
Eric was the President & CEO of EOSi from 2004 to 2018 and is now a Senior Consultant for the Company. Previously, he had worked as a Chicago-based business consultant for McKinsey & Company, Inc. There he advised companies in the telecommunications, retail banking, and insurance sectors on sales and operations issues. He directed sales and marketing for infoUSA (American Business Information), where he was responsible for managing three operating units. He received a B.A. in economics from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
Freddy Kade, P.E., M.S. Regional Sales Manager, Western Region
Freddy came to EOSi with 15 years of wastewater process experience and more than 13 years of Biological Nutrient Removal experience. His previous roles as an Applications Engineer, Product Engineer, Product Manager, and Technology Manager will be invaluable aid in his position as the Regional Sales Manager for the Western Region. Freddy has organized and presented at several workshops and operator shows, throughout the Midwest, discussing simultaneous nitrification/denitrification technologies as well as anaerobic digestion for biological treatment processes and storm flow management. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Aleppo University in Syria, a Master’s in Environmental Engineering from Marquette University in Wisconsin and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Wisconsin.
Evan Brown Account Manager, Southeast Territory
Evan joined EOSi after graduating from UNC Chapel Hill in May 2014. He received his B.S. in Environmental Science and Economics with a concentration in Energy and Sustainability. While in Thailand his senior year, Evan completed and published his capstone research project on the life cycle analysis of various waste-to-energy strategies and their applicability on Thai Islands. At EOSi Evan was initially brought on as a Business Analyst, working with the management team to conduct in depth market research and develop financial reports. At the end of 2016, after a yearlong stretch of managing EOSi's marketing activities, Evan transitioned to the sales team and relocated to Charlotte, NC where he now serves as EOSi's Southeastern Account Manager assisting current customers and working to bring on new opportunities in the water and wastewater industry.
Brendan Luther Account Manager/ Field Engineer, Northeast Territory
Brendan joined EOSi as an Account Manager/ Field Engineer after a year in Europe as a Guide and Logistics Specialist in the tourism industry. Brendan graduated from Clemson University in 2014 with a degree in Biosystems Engineering and a minor in Environmental Engineering. Brendan brings with him experience in the environmental compliance sector for water and air pollution from his time working for Alpha Natural Resources, one of the country’s largest coal companies. He also brings a wide range of technical experience, from his undergraduate research in nano-fluids for enhanced oil recovery to co-authoring a paper in Marine Biology while working with The Smithsonian. His primary responsibility at EOSi is to assist customers in the Northeast with their contaminant removal operations, in municipal and industrial wastewater applications.
Benjamin Smith Account Manager, Northeast
Ben joined EOSi after two years working for the New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Comission (NEIWPCC). During his time at NEIWPCC, Ben worked closely with the US EPA as well as the state environmental agencies in the Northeast. He was responsible for coordinating regional efforts to improve water quality and facilitated communication between NPDES permit writers. In addition to his work with regulatory agencies, Ben was responsible for developing wastewater training opportunities for operators throughout the Northeast. He received a B.S. in Environmental Science and Policy with a minor in Sustainability from the University of Maryland, College Park. His primary responsibility at EOSi is to assist customers in the Northeast with their contaminant removal operations, in municipal and industrial wastewater applications.
Ryan Coleman, P.E., LEED AP Director, Process Solutions & Programs
Ryan has eleven years of wastewater operations and process knowledge as well as hands-on experience in the protein industry. Ryan has managed industrial wastewater treatment plants for several companies in Colorado, Idaho, and Pennsylvania. As an Environmental Manager with Cargill, Inc., he led a series of BNR optimization initiatives that successfully reduced effluent total nitrogen concentrations by more than 97 percent. Ryan has managed the construction and operation of facilities creating renewable, clean energy from dairy waste. Ryan has a B.S. in Environmental Systems Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, an M.S. in Engineering from Purdue University with a focus on industrial engineering and engineering economics, and he has an MBA from the University of Indiana's Kelley School of Business. Ryan is also a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Idaho.
Randy Pulsifer Automation & Instrumentation Manager
Randy joined EOSi from a consulting firm in Maine, where he held the role of President. His previous company provided a host of engineering services to the pulp and paper industry world-wide as well as the more local water and wastewater industries. These services centered around developing PLC and PC based automation solutions to fit the customers' need. Randy brings a wealth of experience in development of control system solutions as well as mentoring young engineers. Randy will be working to benefit our customers directly and through providing support for our Process Engineering team. Randy graduated with an Electrical Engineering and Computer Science degree from the University of Maine, Orono.
Edris Taher Senior Process Engineer
Edris holds a Professional Doctorate in Engineering in Bioprocess Design from Delft University of Technology in Netherlands. He has six years of experience in various facets of bioprocess engineering including design, scale-up, operations, validation and project management. Prior to joining EOSi, Edris was a research officer at Columbia University. He is currently a Process Engineer II for EOSi and is responsible for implementing and managing process solutions and programs offered by EOSi.
Mason Burgess Process Engineer II
Mason came with two years of wastewater operation experience in the protein industry. Mason led a series of programs while at Seaboard Foods including upgrades to the laboratory, a full overhaul of the maintenance programs, and a complete redesign of internal environmental reporting procedures. Prior to entering the wastewater field, he spent three years in a research laboratory at the University of Kansas studying mineral precipitation mechanics on specialized microbial and abiotic surfaces. Mason received a B.S. in Geology with a focus in Geochemistry from Kansas State University.
Kathryn Chadwick Process Engineer I
Kathryn holds a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Syracuse University. While at Syracuse, she worked on a research project for Nepal that focused on wastewater treatment and energy generation. Prior to joining EOSi, she worked as an R&D test engineer at Schneider Electric. Kathryn is currently a Process Engineer I for EOSi and is responsible for implementing and managing process solutions and programs offered by EOSi.
Maahedi Savvy Account Manager/ Field Engineer, Mid-Atlantic Territory
Maahedi joined EOSi immediately following his graduation from University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in the spring of 2016. At UMBC, Maahedi obtained a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, with a specialized focus in the Environmental Engineering program. While pursuing his degree, Maahedi was also a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) and also worked under his professor performing numerous experiments pertaining to water and sediment quality. At EOSi, Maahedi assumed the position of Account Manager and Field Engineer for the Mid-Atlantic territory. His chief responsibility is to retain the existing customer base while also assisting the Territory Manager with new opportunities in the water and wastewater biological contaminant removal market.
