Full Time Control & Instrumentation Technician

Responsibilites:

Will assist in the installation, startup and maintenance of implementations of various types of instrumentation and control systems for cloud-based innovations being developed for the Water/Wastewater industry. Service calls, instrument calibrations (field and bench), Equipment/Asset management, and system troubleshooting will also be part of your work-week. Considerable field work is involved, and traveling to our customer’s sites on a regular basis is needed. Most trips are easily accomplished in one or two days, though some international travel will be required. In the office, you will be responsible for our asset management software and ensuring that our stock of spare parts is sufficient and properly stored/kitted. Timely shipment of installation kits to other field personnel will also be one of your responsibilities. Other key focus areas may include hardware selection and implementation, programming, device communications, and data analytics. This hands-on Instrumentation and Controls Field Technician will be part of a cross-disciplinary team working on research and customer-facing development projects, typically involving complex engineered equipment deployed in challenging operating environments. EOSi provides a rapid growth path into systems development to the right individuals.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Two-year Technical or Bachelor degree in STEM majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) from an accredited college or university, or similar Associates degree and equivalent experience. Preference will be given to education in EE/EET, Chemical and Environmental engineering
  • Minimum 2-5 years of industrial/research experience in I&C, PLC and SCADA systems
