1) Product/Applications Engineer

The Product/Applications Engineer (P/AE) will report to the Director, Process Solutions.

The P/AE is responsible for implementing and managing standard Process Solutions and Programs (PSP) offered by EOSi to our clients, who use biological nutrient removal and wastewater treatment to meet their discharge limits. The P/AE will be required to become well versed in the PSP offerings comprised of several programs specific to the individual client’s needs and objectives. The common objectives for clients are around:

  1. Improved compliance performance
  2. Reducing client’s overall costs
  3. Reducing safety risks
  4. Increased visibility and understanding of Facility’s process and performance
  5. Optimization of Facility’s overall process

These objectives are designed to provide cost-effective biological contaminant solutions for our clients with the primary mission to maximize customer value - thereby enhancing our customer retention and acquisition.

The P/AE will also be responsible for leading bench testing activities.  This includes testing of our products with various site-specific client biological samples (tests including SNR, SDNR, PUR, OUR, etc) and also testing/characterizing new materials as potential carbon sources (including COD/BOD, ash, viscosity and the above biological performance tests).

In order to utilize our lab facilities, the P/AE should be willing to travel to our offices in Pocasset, MA up to several times per month as well as make customer and sales visits up to several times per month.


  • Become an expert in biological nutrient removal and all the programs and technical services offered by EOSi .  These include:

-MicroC® Evaluation and Application Support
-Process Support
-Program Management and Data Monitoring
-Nitrack® automation program

  • Practice the standard PSP procedures through different stages of project delivery (Qualification, Discovery, Proposal, Execution, Closing)
  • Conduct Site Assessment & Proposal Development
  • Define and convert program objectives into key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Prepare accurate Cost Analysis for Programs
  • Prepare professionally written deliverables for programs

-Evaluation Reports
-Recurring Performance Reports

  • As a program manager on PSP projects, coordinate and  manage resources (time, labor, equipment, and cost)  allocated to the project. Track  costs using the  Cost Analysis model and PS&P Master documents.
  • Manage all projects and programs to accomplish the technical objectives of each program
  • Perform bench scale experiments and specific biological analyses (SNR, SDNR, PUR, respirometry) as required per program
  • Support R/D efforts in developing new products, applications, and programs
  • Prepare comprehensive reports at end of  each program or experiment outlining all the procedures, methods and results.
  • Based on the needs of clients or other stakeholders (engineering firms, technology suppliers, regulators, etc.), develop documents that communicate the company’s value proposition in alignment with the company’s commercial  strategy and the customer needs.  These materials may include (but are not limited to) the following:

-Case studies
-Evaluation program reports
-Technical papers and presentations at regional, national and international conferences
-Brown Bags, workshops, and other training materials

  • Work closely with the technical and sales teams to develop value-added programs at Key Accounts that create mutual value outcomes for the customer and EOSi, where, for example:

-efforts result in EOSI’s offered scope of services being included in the  bid documents;
-efforts result in profitable negotiated  supply and/or service contracts;
-efforts result in transitioning  ongoing month to month  purchase order customers into long-term (e.g., one year or greater) supply and/or service contract customers;
-efforts result in the potential for higher project margins (e.g., performance-based contracts, etc.).
-efforts result in transitioning chemical-only customers to service contracts

  • Utilize company process modeling capabilities as needed
  • Deploy and maintain company assets (analyzers, tank level monitors, controllers, etc.) as needed
  • Centralize best practices learned within EOSi’s central data base
  • Establish cooperative working relationships with stakeholders and customers
  • Leverage customer relationships to identify and capture value sharing opportunities
  • Support the sales and technical teams in delivering the EOSi value proposition
  • Make individual or joint sales calls with the sales team as may be required


2) Chemist

The Chemist is a full-time exempt position reporting directly to the Laboratory Manager. The Chemist will support EOSis core business and research and development efforts in Pocasset, MA. The Chemist will support several departments within the organization including Supply Chain, Operations, QA/QC and Quality Management and Applications Engineering. The lab is responsible for managing the company’s Quality Assurance and Quality Control Program that supports its twenty contract manufacturing facilities across the U.S.


  • Supporting the QA/QC department with daily workload as needed
  • Adherence to quality systems procedures including record keeping, data entry, calibration of equipment, proper documentation of activities, etc.
  • Supporting the Supply Chain department with supplier prospecting, audits of existing suppliers and troubleshooting of process & raw material changes. This activity may require travel to supplier sites with the OPS & Supply Chain Department.
  • Supporting the Operations department with contract manufacturer prospecting, audits of existing contract manufacturers and troubleshooting product quality issues. This activity may require travel to contract manufacturing facilities.
  • With support from other departments, implement chemical and physical processing steps at suppliers and contract manufacturing facilities to improve product quality.
  • Supporting the applications team in the laboratory, including running batch denitrification and phosphorus removal experiments.
  • Supporting R&D in the laboratory, including development of new product formulations and enhancements to existing products
  • GC-FID and NIR methods development


3) Operations Specialist

A full-time exempt position reporting directly to the Director of Operations.  This role operates within the EOSi headquarters located in Pocasset, MA.


  • Order entry & customer delivery logistics, including ERP system processing, vendor coordination, and pre-pay requirements.
  • New customer set-up in QB/Epicor, CRM (Salesforce), tax forms and delivery requirements.
  • Communication with EOSi Sales Team working closely to coordinate orders while establishing and executing on customer expectations.
  • Order incident management, control, reporting, and corrective action coordination.
  • Support outbound freight quotes as needed for existing and new customer demand, including reviewing carrier equipment required for successful customer delivery.
  • Inventory support – Maintain a basic knowledge and understanding of inventory management in support of Operations Team.
  • Provide AP/AR support for Operations department specific transactions.   
  • Support international order logistics coordination. 
  • Data Entry – Candidate will be required to maintain clear, concise data relating to orders, inventory, quality control, etc.
  • Inbound phone triage, gather basic information and direct caller to appropriate personnel.


  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in a related role.
  • Must be a strong team player who is professional and courteous.
  • Strong department and inter-department coordination required.
  • Must be a quick learner with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • CRM database experience (Salesforce) desired.
  • Experience in ERP/Business Management Software (QuickBooks, Epicor) desired.
